The Halloween Charity event and Open House was great! The blood mobile received two units over our goal which was awesome considering the flu has there donor numbers down. We also had FIVE first time donors! AWESOME!!

The food drive didn't fair as well as last year, but definitely not complaining.

I'll get images proofed and online sometime next week.

Leave me some feedback in the comments section here or on the facebook page. Let me know how we can make this event even better next year. Can't wait!

Take care and talk to you all real soon!

My volunteers and I are getting so excited about our upcoming Little Monster's Bash, and we hope you’ll join us.
(Want to volunteer too? Just drop me an email.)

We've made a few changes for this year's event that we think you'll absolutely LOVE.
Bring a canned/packaged food donation or $5, and get a free portrait of your trick or treaters.
Yes, each family will receive a free 4x6 portrait this year and online gallery for further orders.

This event is designed for families looking to capture this years costume and enjoy the usual Halloween-fright-and-candy-fest.
More importantly, the Bash benefits our local foodbank and the American Red Cross.

The American Red Cross will be at the studio Saturday, October 31st from 9am to 2pm to suck your blood!
Please call Tonya at 620.842.3879 to make your appointment and save a life.

Our Little Monster's Bash and open house will also take place on Saturday, October 31 from 1pm until 5pm.
We will be at the studio on Friday, October 30 by appointment only, so make sure to call today to secure your spot.

Your kids will have a blast in our haunted studio, and you can have a free portrait of your little "monsters" taken on our haunted photo set.

All souls are welcome to have mom/dad snap there picture in our Frankenstein and Witch photo props as well.

Better yet, your children will learn the value of giving to those less fortunate. Our event benefits the local food bank.
Food donations (or a $5 donation) are collected in exchange for a 4x6 portrait of your little "monster."

The American Red Cross donor bus will be here from 9am to 2pm.

Feel free to bring your own camera and snap away!
You’ll have a frightfully good time.

*No donations in glass jars, please. Limit one free 4x6 per family.

Halloween Images are online

So if you haven't seen them yet, head over to the website and check out the Halloween images. I finally got them all up and they are so cute! For those of you who came and donated food, your free 4x6 image should be in this evening and I will either get them in the mail to you or you are welcome to make arrangements to pick them up - either way is fine with me.

Thanks again to all of you who helped make this Halloween the best so far.
Can't wait for next year!!!

Digital Scrapbooking

So, thought I'd give you a few more links while I'm working on proofing your Halloween pics.
I love to scrapbook and for the last few years I've been digital scrapping. I haven't had much of a chance to do it lately, but I still watch for great kits to use. While searching my favorite site, I found these:

Eek!!

And this one... Boooooo ... can't read it, but it's a super cute kit. Scroll to the bottom of it and there should be a link that starts with http://www.4shared.co

Enjoy!
I'll add more as I find them.

Some fun pumpkin ideas...

Found these today... very cute! Although I'm not so sure how easy it will be to find pumpkins this week. The boys and I finally made it a point to get pumpkins to carve tonight and we had to stop three different places and bought two of the last four pumpkins we seen. So - Good Luck! :)

Blood Donors Needed

I'm getting a bit nervous. I need seven more donors and only have six days left. The Red Cross is in a real need for donors. I received this just a few days ago:

"Please encourage everyone that can to sign up. The Red Cross issued a statement this week that says how low our blood supply is right now because people are not able to donate due to the flu and other illnesses. Because of that, we need every healthy donation we can get. If your running into a lot of illness and reluctance to donate, encourage those who can’t to recruit someone who can."

Ghastly. Ghoulish. Ghostly. Giving? Redefine Halloween by donating blood. It could save the life of a ghost or goblin close to you.

October is here. For many of us, thoughts drift to candy, costumes and carving pumpkins. But for many patients at area hospitals, the only treat that’s sure to please is a blood donation.

Blood transfusions are used for trauma victims—due to accidents and burns—heart surgery patients, organ transplant patients, newborns and premature babies, complications during childbirth and patients receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer or sickle cell disease.

tonya shelton PHOTOGRAPHY will hold their Halloween Charity Bash and Open House on Saturday, October 31st. The event, which benefits the American Red Cross and local food bank, will run from 9am to 2pm and 1pm to 5pm, respectively.

The American Red Cross donor bus will be at the studio from 9am to 2pm. Please call Tonya at 620-842-3879 to schedule your blood donation. Halloween portraits will be taken from 1pm to 5pm in exchange for food donations.

Tonya and her volunteers appreciate the blessings they have and believe it is never too early to encourage our children to develop the habit of sharing with others less fortunate.
